This build was a lot of fun and fulfilled the intended use requirements perfectly!
The brief was simple:
- Need to carry 30kg of photography equipment into the middle of no-where.
- Need an electric motor, so 20miles each way is possible on a single charge.
- Make it possible to reach hard to get to locations in a rush, so light conditions can be optimised for capturing unlikely photos.
The Omnium Mini-Max by Sentient Works is the perfect blend of features, that perfectly fulfills all requirements that Paul (Discover Still) came to us with.
When you think about it;
- Doing the same thing on foot would be no fun, and much slower.
- Trying to do this on a motorbike has access limitations.
- An eMTB with a large rear rack might do the trick, but you wouldn't be able to carry as much stuff, and would probably end up wearing a backpack to supplement the lack of luggage capacity.
